Phil Tharp is an administrator at MLWGS.
He is known for the sternness by which he deals with troublemakers. Because of this, students call being punished by Mr. Tharp being "tharped ."
He is also known to have been a reputed prankster in his younger days. According to a possibly true rumor, he had once abducted Sokrates the Duck from Mr. H. Waller and suspended it above the James River.
